May my faith not only be for the big game, the crowning moment, that desperate hail mary, the unexpected crisis…may it be the undercurrent of my day-to-day. Reaching within myself, daring to have faith that the smile to the Walmart shopper mattered—even though I was pressed and pulled so much today that it took force to move my smile muscles. Daring to believe that the seed sown so long ago will produce—even though it’s been years. That the undivided attention to a child’s chatter about their building block tower, even though I was on a business call, built relationship. That choosing to constrain my attitude, when I so wanted to explode, grew unity. Faith is the day to day, the big and small. Keep the faith.
